Salt lakes at San Pedro de Atacama Northern Chile

Near Mendoza Argentina

Spent the night here in Southern Bolivia 4,500m -15c Mog was warm inside and all water tanks are in the main cabin so no frozen water. The next morning we had a hot shower and went on our way. 500l water lasts us around 7 days with good showers every day. You could double that if you were frugal.
Driving on the rough tracks in this high country I was pleased to be in"The Unimog" as it handles it so well.
I always run the motor for 15 minutes every morning before setting off.

Playing in the dirt in Patagonia

Northern Chiloe Island Chile.

Good shot of solar panels which keep the two large batteries charged for lights, water pump and computers.
You can see the sand plates which I have never used.  Air horn on right have used often in traffic in China!
You can see from this shot how high you sit in The Unimog in comparison to a car. Great view from up there.

On the beach for the night in central Chile. Drove up on Blocks of wood to get level.

We eat outside 50% of the time. This shot, coast line Chile.
